I typically breast-feed every 2 to 3 hours for15 to 20 minutes per side, I just pumped for like 15 minutes each side and this is what I got for both sides my baby is six days old does this look like a good amount ??

I think that’s perfect for a 4 day old baby this is what I got when my baby was 4 days in one sitting but I was in so much pain until my body regulated it was a horrible first week waiting on my body to regulate

I don’t know if this is helpful, but I did a weighted feed with a lactation consultant when my baby was 4 days old and she got 2.5 oz and passed out after! She got her full off that and had gone 3hrs without eating before that. But like others have said, what you pump is not a good representation of what baby actual eats!

Was wondering the same till I talked to a nursing lactation today .. and she said that the amount that you pump isn’t the amount a baby eats . Since a baby tends to suck out more then what the pump does .. hope it helps because I also thought I wasn’t producing much 🤷🏻‍♀️😊

It’s really hard to go off of amounts especially when pumping because you won’t get as much as baby will. Babies will demand in what they need. The best way to tell if your baby is getting enough is their wet and soiled diapers and if they seem satisfied after a feed (obviously this doesn’t always happen especially when they’re cluster feeding or trying to demand more milk in)
