Chores while pregnant??

Hey all, 
I'm 6 weeks pregnant, and while my husband and I share the household chores, he works long hours and I can't expect him to always contribute ( we both cook, do dishes, vacuum, mop etc). 
My dr said no strenuous activities, like heavy lifting etc. But would you count scrubbing the shower, vacuuming etc strenuous? When I clean, I go hard so hubby has banned me from these but I just want to know if its still safe for me?

I would ask you OB why they gave that advice to you. 
I only question it because it’s generally pretty old advice to tell pregnant people they can’t do much physical activity. Pregnancy is not a disability. 
My OB told me to continue to everything in my life (including exercise) as I would normally until my body tells me to back off.

You can do anything you're used to doing. Strenuous means it would feel like a strain to you because you're not used to it, like lifting something way heavy for you, or starting an exercise regimen like a boot camp program. If you don't have issues like cervix incompetence, you can  do all your regular stuff.

Girl, my partner works minimal 13 hour shifts production 5-6 days a week! From 2am- to whenever, sometimes even 5pm 
My son just turned 1yo and I’m 33 weeks pregnant tomorrow! 
It’s not recommended heavy lifting or over working yourself. 
But you’ll be okay doing your regular activities. They definitely don’t want you to start working out or lifting if you didn’t prior to pregnancy. 
 I’m doing all the house work from cleaning to cooking and constantly chasing this little one around. No breaks. And my body feel like a 100yo with arthritis

Lol no, those are not strenuous activities at all, no physical modifications are needed in first trimester, unless doctor ordered and most don’t need any well into halfway through second..

We moved apartments while I was pregnant. It was a hell of a lot of work, and I had to clean the one we were leaving by myself. That was a LOT of work. I just took a lot of breaks.

Unless there is a specific medical reason they told you not to do house choruses?
I was on pelvic/bed rest for a bleed for 6 weeks but that resolved and I went back to it I’m 36 weeks and I cook and clean to an extent, can’t bend down anymore 😅 so no scrubbing the bathtub.
