Don’t know what contractions feel like

I’m a STM. I had my first vaginally and didn’t get an epidural until I was 6cm. I was induced so I had pitocin and a foley bulb. I was having contractions every two to three minutes and I couldn’t feel them at all. I had cramps, but it felt very mild. Like I’ve had period cramps that were worse. The nurses would come in and tell me that I was having a really big contraction and if I needed anything and I was like what? I don’t feel anything.

So now I’m worried that if I go into labor, unless my water breaks, I won’t know since it didn’t hurt. Also my uterus always feels tight so it’s hard for me to judge by the tightening of it.

Anyone else not feel their contractions?
