Is this possible?
So I ended up needing an emergency c-section when I had my June baby, my plan was to breastfeed so after she was born I got some skin on skin time with her for a few mins then the nurses took my baby to get her heel prick with dad. I was sent to recovery by myself until I could feel my legs again, this took about 3 hours. So in those 3 hours baby was with dad in our hospital room and since she hadn’t been fed yet of course she was screaming her head off that entire time. They refused to give her a bottle so all dad could do was hold her and rock her and try to calm her down until I came back. Now the first couple of days she was okay with him, but after those few days she doesn’t do so well with him. She’s about to be 9 months old and still doesn’t let him feed her, change her diaper, change her clothes, half the time she can’t even be alone with him unless she’s occupied by something else. He can’t even hold her without her fussing to get out of his arms, this has been going on almost 9 months straight and he’s a great father, he’s calm with her and even more patient than I am. So my question is, is it possible that her being alone with him for those hours waiting to be fed caused some type of anxiety in her associated to him? She is completely fine alone with her grandparents but not her own father. This is our first baby and he loves her so much but because of this he hasn’t been able to enjoy fatherhood.
