How do you get over a breakup?

Me and my ex broke up almost a month ago. I never thought id see the day that i loose him but unfortunately the day came. I feel lost. We dated for almost 5 years and he was my best friend for longer.

All you can do is try and forget about them the best that you can, keep yourself busy, work on yourself inside and out, and take the time to heal before you move on. Otherwise you just sabotage future relationships because you never dealt with past issues of trust or insecurities or doubts or whatever end of the relationship. If you don’t deal with your issues now they will affect you in the future. Even your own insecurities even things from childhood that we’ve never dealt with. If you don’t deal with things, they definitely affect your future at some point. Take the time to heal,￼ Love yourself, pamper yourself, and date yourself, exercise, scream into a pillow, daily affirmations, journaling, talking to a therapist if you need to, medication if you need to, or you just get through it. You get a pet, you babysit children if you don’t have kids of your own, and you give your love to someone else who deserves it. Life is what you make it, if you were not happy, you change what you can, and what you can’t change, you learn to love, accept and embrace yourself flaws and all.  Remember that a man does not complete you, you complete yourself, you defined yourself and your happiness, happiness comes from within not from another person. Never depend on anyone for your happiness or you will surely be let down just like you are right now. Take the time to heal I can’t stress that enough.￼￼

Time! Stay cold turkey no contact. Then spend this time working on yourself. Your interests. Refind yourself! Some days will be hard but just know tomorrow is a new day. You’ll come out of this stronger! Hang in there!!

I know it hurts & unfortunately there is no words how to heal your heart broken I have been there ... & I know how it feels .. it took me 5yrs yes 5yrs to get over him I dated other ppl but wasn't working.. till I met the love of my life best friend& I married him. I feel you.. but if it didn't work out it means something good is coming your way you will see ... right now focus on your self self love 💘 I know it's hard but I promise you it will get better over time
