Yes but if you got lots of clothes I would only wash half and just the ones they will wear at first.   My babies only wore like half their clothes and only fit in newborn size for about a week.

Yes and use a baby detergent. The clothes get on the floor at the stores and they treat them beforehand so you want to wash all that extra stuff off. Eco baby or honest baby detergent is the best. Baby detergent is much more gentler than regular. I bought so many clothes for my first that it took two weeks to wash everything...lol. I know better now. Wash the blankets too.

Yes!  Things shrink - if you wash first you know how big it will actually be!
