Using pumps

This is going to be tmi but I'm looking for insight.

Has anyone here tried using clitoral pumps? I've tried two different types, but they either were very awkward to use due to the tubing, or my labia minora kept getting included as the intensity increased. Meanwhile, there's no effect on my clit. I'm open to trying new things but this particular event is always disappointing. I'm not so sure if it's the quality of the pump, or if it may be more of a question of my anatomy. If anyone has any experience and recommendations, I'd appreciate them.
