Hi Anyone have baby with large vsd and what treatment did you go for?how many weeks or months the baby go for treatment like surgery?

My daughter hve 8mm large vsd the dr told us that looks like she need to go for surgery... Im just worried bcos shes only 9days old now...

My daughter was born with a PDA, VSD and an ASD. The only option for her was surgery for the PDA. The surgeon opted to wait and watch the VSD and ASD as they were probably being affected by the PDA. She had surgery when she was 5 and a half weeks old.
The ASD disappeared completely by the time she was 5 years old. She still has a residual (very very small - 2mm) VSD that requires no active management at the moment but she will require extra monitoring when she decides to start a family. She is now 18 years old. Her VSD at 4 weeks old was 8mm.
