Update: Have you ever had ovulation pain days after you ovulate?

Question

My temperature was all over the place so someone told me if my temperature went back down today I may not have even ovulated. I took my temp today and it went up slightly. Could my confirmed ovulation date be correct?

Answer

Ovulation cramping can occur before, during, and after ovulation. It’s not an accurate way to identify the day you ovulate, but it can be a sign that ovulation is close or recently happened. 
After ovulation when progesterone increases, cramping becomes more common as well. That’s why many women have cramping as a PMS and early pregnancy symptom - both are caused by high progesterone which rises immediately after ovulation.

Yes both of the last times I have conceived I had ovulation cramps. Only on those cycles though
