What’s my next step?
Hello all. I hope you are all doing well and I hope your family is in good health. I’m coming here today to ask for some advice because I don’t know anyone personally that I can turn to for the advice I need. And I know everyone here is willing to help.
Im Allie, I’m married, I’m 24 and will be 25 this July! I’ve been off of birth control since September of 2016. I had a chemical pregnancy the beginning of 2018. After I had my chemical pregnancy I decided I didn’t want children at the moment and avoided having sex during ovulation for about 6-8 months but we didn’t use protection. And since then my husband and I haven’t used any type of protection at all and we stopped avoiding sex during my ovulation after those 6-8 months. The year 2019 and into 2020 we really tried to get pregnant. It wasn’t every month because I didn’t want to stress myself out but I did track my ovulation and we used pre-seed often. And nothing... So I’m starting to worry that maybe we are going to need some help. So what is our next move? Where do I go? Where does he go? (Doctor wise) We aren’t necessarily wanting to go full force into trying but I do at least want to know if we are able to conceive on our own. Should we try other things before we go to the doctor? What do I ask my doctor and what should he ask his? This is so new to me because I never in a million years thought I would struggle to get pregnant. Any advice will be helpful because I honestly don’t know what to do next.
