Been on the combination pill for a year and I noticed that I have stickier periods since I used birth control pills.

I usually get brown discharge on the 5th day or my placebo pills and then sticky blood on the 6th day which lasts about 3-5 days. It’s like egg white mucus with blood in it. Is this normal? Before the pill my period was heavier and more watery.

Also follow up question, does bleeding during the placebo week mean that you’re not pregnant or do you still have to take a pregnancy test every month?
