Meet Rayne Arabella !

6lbs 15oz and 20.5” long

She is baby 3 for us, and this was the toughest labor..

I had prodromal labor all day in Valentine’s Day, and after 3 hours they stopped. Then the next Sunday I had more for a good 5 hrs, stopped.

Then Monday night the 23rd, at 10:50pm my contractions for painful, so I started timing them. I had contractions that continued in intensity and closeness until 8am! I got no sleep because they hurt . We called and they wanted us to come in, even tho they were slowing down, just to check in baby.

Came in and went from 1cm to 4cm since my apt the Friday before. Yay!

They decided to admit us and break my water and hope that could pick things back up . Broke my water at 1pm and my labor from then till birth was 15 hours. After 2 hours from water breaking I was still 4cm so we started a low dose pitocin .

Things picked up but only progressed to 5 cm. I was walking, in the ball, I did squats. I was trying everything. As the pitocin increased my contractions went to my hips. This was BRUTAL . My hubby was trying to put pressure on my hips to help and it was a major relief for awhile. But then they got back to back and 100x more painful ti the point my legs were shaking everytime from the pain in my hips

radiating down. At this point I said give me the epidural cuz I couldn’t do it anymore . I mean this pain was unreal . Got the epidural and during that I was just crying . Not cuz of the epi but I think my body was just so overwhelmed .

Epidural kicked in super quick , thank god.

I was at a 5 still but quickly went to 6, then 7.

Baby girls heart rate kept dipping so they kept having me move positions to find what worked, and we eventually out an internal monitor in to see her heart rate better. By 4am I was ready to push! They called the midwife in and I had oxygen in between pushes because of her heart rate. Pushed all of 6x and under 5 minutes And she flew out! Lol literally the midwife almost didn’t catch her . 😂😂 she came out very blue, apparently the cord was trapped between her neck and everytime she’d drop itd compress and dip her heart rate .

I immediately took her and the nurse and I were patting her back and she coughed up some fluid and gave a cry . The nurse took her over to suction her nose and mouth and she pinked right up. And brought her back to me . This was seriously the hardest labor out of my 3. For both her and I. But we got home 2 days ago and are so so so in love and her siblings love her too !
