I have already posted this in the relationship section but would like to see if I could get any more advice in here.

I met this person at a part time temporary job and it’s not usually busy so we talk quite a lot and I’m starting to fancy him with however I’m 19 and he’s 27. I don’t know if he’s interested in me like that but just want some advice on whether it not you guys think I should try talking to him outside of work.

He lives on his own however he is very family orientated as he always sees them and helps them out financially as it is a difficult time right now due to covid-19. He doesn’t drink, smoke cigarettes or do drugs except weed. He looks quite young like I thought he was 22 when I met him, not that that’s a justification but I just want to know if you guys think that 8 years is too much of an age gap considering I’m only 19.

Also I’m from the Uk so the legal age to have sex is 16 to drink is 18 and to drive is 17 and would really appreciate if people aren’t rude under this post. Xx

Please feel free to tell me some of the pros and cons of dating/talking to someone older. Advice from anyone is appreciated but I would really appreciate if anyone like 19-21 years has any constructive criticism as I feel like talking to someone when your younger is different to when you are a bit older like 25+

Edit: I appreciate that people are concerned with the fact that we work together and have some good points however as I said it is a part time temporary job that I am not reliant on it as I have two other jobs. This job just offers me some extra money that I don’t necessarily need.

I can go weeks without seeing him if I’m not working the same days as him I can work anywhere from 0-4 days a week there. Or I might no be in the same location as him as we can often be asked to go to a different places to work. However if things went sour I could easily avoid him or if it was that bad I could just leave which wouldn’t affect me that much as this job isn’t a main source of income.
