Anyone ever struggle with a fear of being fired for using maternity/paternity leave?

I’m about to be induced and my husband gets 12 weeks leave through FMLA, he has enough vacation hours saved for about 4-5 weeks of it to be paid. So far we don’t plan on him being gone on leave for more than 3-4 weeks. He’s been with this agency for 2-3 years, and seems to get along with everyone just fine. I’m a stay at home mom, so he’s the breadwinner.

For some reason, I have this irrational fear of him being fired during leave or when he returns, since in FL they don’t need to tell you why they fire you. I have no idea how this fear appeared in my brain, but for some reason it won’t leave me alone! Any advice or a way for me to stop worrying over this?
