Bowel movements - Little one on Laxative?

Question

Is anyone else’s buba on a laxative or has been on one? Our little girl has been on them  for four months now. Her poo’s are sooo hard and she is in so much pain passing them. I just need someone to chat to who has experienced this or is experiencing it now. Xx

My son (4yo) had to use them whem he was 3.  He would hold his stool and only go once a week when he couldn't hold it anymore.

Yes! My son was on probiotics to help his belly when he was tiny and then on Miralax daily for a while. Thankfully we only need it occasionally now though

Not our October bub, but our older son (now 3) had a stool softener added to all his fluids. We had to VERY slowly wean it. It was a powder and we had to, slowly reduce the scoop size (VERY SLOWLY). He still has fairly formed stools now at 3, which is pretty convenient as he hides his poop and paints with it. 🤦‍♀️

We went through this a few months after we started solids so it’s been a while but it was rough. My doctor told us to use just a tiny bit of Miralax and luckily it worked great and fixed our issues in a week or so.
