Calm things down?

When having a chat with this guy I’ve seen a couple times, and slept with, about what he’s looking for he said he wasn’t really sure and didn’t want to wreck my head so felt like calming things down would be for the best at the minute as he knows he doesn’t just want sex but isn’t sure beyond that....

Does this seem like he just wants a bit of space for a while and to genuinely calm things down to figure out or do we think this is code for buhbye 👋🏻?
