Nexplanon is coming out!

Possible TW: PCOS, TTC, birth control

I have a 13 month old, and my husband and I have been talking about having another baby relatively soon. I have PCOS and I was put on the pill to help with cyst pain, I took the pill same time everyday, I was very careful because at the time I had just started a dream job, and didn't want to take any chances. Fast forward 4 months into the new job (8 months on the pill) I find out I'm pregnant. pregnancy went ok, labor and delivery was unremarkable. I decided to get Nexplanon so I could breastfeed without additional hormones interfering. Ever since I had it inserted, I've had the worst symptoms of pcos. Cysts are excruciatingly more painful than before. I have only had 2 periods in a year, and they were horrible. I was hospitalized in December with PID from a cyst rupturing and not draining properly. I made the decision yesterday to get Nexplanon out!

Any momma's gotten pregnant right away, after getting nexplanon out? Anything I should know about getting it out? I'm not sure I want to get pregnant right away, any recommendations besides condoms and abstinence?
