Blood transfusion?

Has anyone had low platelets while pregnant? My iron has been very low as well. I was and still am taking iron supplements but they weren’t doing anything so I had to get iron transfusion. But now she came in and said my platelets are still low. I have to get a c section in a few weeks because I’m pregnant with triplets. I’ll know more about what they’re going to do as far as my platelets tomorrow but I am afraid I’ll need a blood transfusion. Has anyone gotten this while pregnant or in general? How does it work? I just want whatever is wrong with me to be fixed before the c section 😭
