Topical treatments while breastfeeding?

My son is a year old, & still nursing about 30-40% mostly at night. I have very bad acne & some acne scaring I’m trying to clear up but my esthetician won’t do any treatments on me until I am 100% done with breastfeeding? By treatments I’m meaning, chemical peels & using salicylic acid & bhas. I understand for the safety of my son but I’m just wondering if anyone has any advice. I do not want to stop breastfeeding, I wanted our journey to end naturally but I am also so eager to start treatments, I hate my acne & have lost my confidence. I know it’s something I want to start treating soon.

Okay this is gonna sound crazy (it probably is) and you by no means have to try it but my younger sister whilst looking up ways to help with her own acne read that breast milk is actually very helpful. I mean logistically it makes sense. Anyways she asked to use some of mine when I have my baby and I told her why not 🤷🏽‍♀️ worth a shot lol if it doesn’t work it’s literally just human breast milk

I honestly don’t see why you can’t get treatments. It’s topical and wouldn’t be in your breast milk. If anything I suggest trying serums from The ordinary. Ive added their salicylic acid and niacinimide serums into my skin care routine and almost never breakout.

You could cut back sugar, try to keep extra hydrated with water. See if there are other dietary things that could be causing inflammation that you could be sensitive too like dairy or gluten. If you wear make up try taking a break.
