Irritable Uterus and Mucus Plug

I was diagnosed with IU on Wednesday and started losing pieces of my mucus plug 6hrs ago, then more 1hr ago. Contractions haven't increased (pretty much have mild ones all the time, now). When I was at the hospital Wednesday, they told me I'm not in preterm labor. Could the IU have sped things up within a few days, causing me to start losing my mucus plug, and put me in labor? I'm 33wks 1day. I'm thinking I shouldn't really be concerned unless the contractions intensify, are close together, or I feel my water break, have bleeding, and vaginal/pelvic pressure. Am I right about that?
