How's language development going?

I have seen a few posts of moms concerned where their toddlers are at. I'm just curious to see where most are at this age. My in-laws had me a bit worried about my son's development and asked where others are at his age. I actually didn't know, so figured I'd check. My son says mostly one word phrases, sometimes 2. And can say more if we're helping him for a sentence, but other than that, he's still a little caveman... "Bite, MORRREE" 😂 I think he's fine because he's definitely progressing. we have his appt. in a month.

He sounds fine to me. Honestly my first-born, who is almost four, was saying even less than that at this age. He wasn't even saying mama, just dada. He is talking fine now. It's just too early to worry about anyting

We are finally entering the two words phrases! More or less like “sister baby” or “no Charlie” (to our dog) and “more fish” (goldfish snacks)

Mine will do 4-5 a lot, so she might be a little ahead of the curve. "I see mommy waving hand" or "cookie me too please" or "no don't want it"

My son says 4-5 word phrases  but my niece at this age said no words and she is perfectly normal and smart too @ 6yo. Her doctor said as long as she seems to understand and acknowledge things it was fine

My son can say 4-5 word sentences like “go bye bye mamas car pease” he’s been talking like this for about 2 months. Before was 3 word phrases. Your baby sounds fine. The 2year old apt your doctor will ask

My son is going on 25 months old (born early) and is only saying mama, papa, Ca “for car”, bye bye with the sign for car together to go for a car ride and adventure, or bye bye to say bye to family when they leave, pe pe for his grandfather, signs more for more of whatever he wants. Has the sign for milk but more often than not just grabs his bottle himself or takes my hand and brings me to the fridge for milk, juice, or water. Said. Uuup and huuu for “up and hug” to have his papa pick him up and hug him when he got home. He has said yes maybe 3 times. Normally he just shakes his head yes and no. He is stronger in non verbal and follows directions about 50% to 75% of the time. We had an evaluation for speech in December on the 7th and he was approved for twice a week therapy. But here we are in March and my speech delayed son has received absolutely no services because they have no space for him due to covid. He is falling further and further behind. I’m going from slightly bothered to a pissed off mama bear these days.
