Slight Vaginal Bleeding at 16WK 2Days

Hello,

I’m new to this app and was suggested by a relative to try it out for the community here who could probably give me some insight if this is normal. I’ve had vaginal bleeding today, just once like I would get on the first day of my period. I was frightened that it might be a miscarriage but I put on a pad and since the incident almost 10 hours ago I’ve had no other bleeding. It wasn’t heavy bleeding when it happened and no sign of any more blood. I asked on Reddit and someone there suggested it could be either the placenta (if it’s low) or cervical erosion which they said I shouldn’t worry about. I do intend to check with my gynecologist if this happens again so I’m monitoring it. But I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced something like this? Thank you in advance.
