Drinking coffee in early pregnancy? ☕️

I typically will drink decaf at home, mostly just on the weekends. But at work, I feel like my day hasn’t started without that first cup of coffee. It’s not that I just need it, but it’s just so nice to have in order to wake up and get my work done. Wondering what everyone else’s coffee drinking is now that you’re newly pregnant!

I love coffee and this baby is not having it. I started getting nauseas from it 😫 now I have to figure out the headaches situation.

I'm trying yong not to have it every day, but it's hard!! Lol.  I've been doing one cup of grounds instead of two to help cut back the caffeine.  Another good alternative for a hot cup of liquid....hot water with honey, ginger, and lemon juice!

I may or may not self medicate my ADHD with caffeine 😂 So I "need" coffee on days I have to do stuff like homework or multiple tasks haha. But, I only drink 1 cup a day and then *maybe* will have a soda or a sweet tea with caffeine later in the day. I do my best to stay at or under the recommended caffeine limit for pregnancy~

I love coffee, it’s not that I ‘need it’ physically but for me it’s a whole ritual. I used to have two 10oz cups every day and I’ve tried to cut it to just one most days. My mum has always been a caffeine addict and when she was pregnant with me my father gifted her a “half cup” coffee mug so she would drink less.

I used to be a 3+ cups/day kind of person (I teach and live far away from my school), but cut back to 2 when we started TTC. Now that I’m 4 weeks (😊!) I cut back to 1 cup a day but have no plans to stop altogether as long as my stomach holds up...still waiting on the nausea to kick in full-force😬
