Does ovulating later change period due date?

Question

I normally have 28-29 cycles and ovulate CD 14-15 but this time I ovulated like CD 17 (tracked with ovulation strips) so would that now make me due for my period CD 31? Im CD 28 today and no sign of period. Negative pregnancy test and 11 DPO. Hoping I will get a positive soon and AF wont come!! Let me know what you guys think?

Later ovulation doesn't seem to affect af for me, I'm consistently 26-27 days no matter when I ovulate (per opks and bbt). I would say that the  norm is that ovulating later in your cycle does cause AF to happen later. Don't be surprised if AF shows up tomorrow though. Good luck!

Yes, the later you ovulate the later your cycle will be. Periods are based off ovulation, so roughly due 14 days after ovulation.

Usually yes. If I ovulate a few days late I don’t count myself as late unless it goes beyond 14dpo that’s always when I’ll get my cycle, same with if it happens earlier.

Yes. That is how it works. Your luteal phase remains pretty static but doesn't start until you ovulate.
