Did it hurt when you went to the Gyno?

How was your first gynecologist appointment? Did it hurt? Was it super weird? How old were you?

First appointment was at 12. The appointment can be “awkward”, your naked from waste down in front of a stranger. But overall it should not be painful. You get a Pap smear, which can be uncomfortable, cause cramping and spotting, but they just brush your cervix so it shouldn’t actually “hurt” they do a pelvic exam, insert fingers into vagina and “feel around” can be uncomfortable again. They can also do a beast exam, just feel your breast for abnormalities. I think the most uncomfortable part is having the speculum inserted and opened.

i was 20 i think. only been once. will never go again. no reason other than i can’t stand doctors and they don’t do anything for me. my gyno was nice but i’m not going to go back 🤷‍♀️

I was 17, not painful just pressure when they use the speculum.  Awkward for me but they do this for a living trust me they don't think twice about 1 vagina

I can’t imagine it’s wonderful but it’s probably not bad it’s their job after all and a little pluck as in pat smear won’t hurt ya anymore than a shot will

21 cause that's when you're required to in Ontario. It was totally fine. You're a mature adult just making sure you are healthy.
