My period stopped! Is this normal??

I tried googling it but nothing comes up! So my period started yesterday... Well at least I think it did. Well I've been spotting all week (light pink or light brown) so yesterday it was dark brown and more red so I thought it started. But I'm still only spotting!! What could this mean? Did my period start then stop? LMP was July and normally irregular
