3 year old keeps killing?

I’ve had custody of my niece dor a week now. She tries to hurt my cats and service dog. She killed my Guine pig and one of my mice. Idk how to get her to stop. I’m about ready to just send her to foster care

Therapy, therapy, therapy. She’s very young, none of this is her fault. She’s obviously been through a lot and has very little consistency in her life. She’s 3 and has already been passed around your whole family. If you send her off to foster care, she’ll likely be lost forever. She is absolutely young enough to have these behaviors addressed and changed. Meet with her pediatrician, have her evaluated, ask for referrals. She needs patience and kindness and access to mental health services.

I am studying psychology and I am telling you you need to get her help ASAP killing animals from a young age is one of the main symptoms of psychopaths. I am not saying that she is but you would be wise to get it looked into especially if there’s another child in the home.

I’ve read what else you wrote in the comments and I’m going to be brutally honest - you need to send that child somewhere away from your family to get HELP. This child won’t “maybe” hurt one of you- she WILL. She is crying out for help and you need to send her somewhere equipped to protect her and others and help her through this. Your home is not the safest place for her right now. My sister in laws family had to do something similar with a child they adopted that had severe attachment disorder and attacked their other child multiple times. They sent her to a treatment facility equipped to take care of her and treat her issues. Please get her the help she needs. She’s not hopeless, she’s crying out for help.

That’s horrible of you to say about sending her to foster care without thinking about get her the help she needs the most. Do what the others said about get her a professional help ASAP. She could be possibly traumatized from her old home before she went into your custody.
