How much money do you have saved up?

First baby in a few weeks, we only have 8,000 saved up. Wondering what you guys have saved.

We had nothing saved lol and I’m a sahm since before my first 😂 2 kids later we’re just fine that way 😌

We don’t have anything saved specifically for baby, but we have our general savings account that hasn’t really grown this year haha. But that’s a little bit more of an emergency fund than anything else

6000. I had like 1000 with my first and did it alone she never wanted for anything so I’m feeling pretty good rn. Baby already has everything he’ll need for the first 6-8mo so far and I’m not using formula.

We didn't have 8k saved up before our first baby. We barely skimmed by but we watched every penny and we made it. If your expenses are low and you can account for your unpaid leave if you're taking time off from a job, you should be ok

Last baby we had about $6000 because that was the out of pocket max for my insurance. 
This time we have about $15,000. We’ve been trying since May/June last year so that’s when we started saving. It makes me feel so good to have a nest egg. If we don’t spend it all on medical bills and me being off work we will pay off one of our vehicles.

With our first, we had almost nothing saved because we had to move when I was in my last trimester over 13hrs away with less than a months notice. This time around we have a lot more but 8000 is plenty unless you're planning to stay home for an extended period and can't survive entirely off outlet incomes in the household

8000 is a lot to have saved up!! Good job mama. We were unable to have any saved since baby was a surprise at the time and we had a lot of bills. But still managed to buy everything we needed but it would have been amazing to know we had extra saved up money and a lot less stressful lol.
