Moderna shot safe?

So me and my parents are getting our first covid-19 shots next week. We’re scheduled to receive the moderna shot. I’m a bit nervous, especially now that I googled moderna and the first thing that popped up was a woman died 4 days after receiving her 2nd moderna shot 😟 what do y’all think?

First of all, the news is meant to cause controversy. They want the clicks and views so any negative thing they can write about that’ll cause some type of talk is good for them. A news site is not a good source for vaccine info majority of the time. Want to find out if it’s safe? Research scientific reports. Look up peer reviewed scientific articles about the vaccine. Then make your own opinion. These things are available for the public to view. And that goes with everything. Don’t just make an opinion based off one source, especially popular news and social media sites (looking at you FACEBOOK!). Research.
I’m a nursing major with a public health minor. I’m in a class dedicated to COVID and COVID vaccine research. I’m not a professional but after literally having to read the scientific reports of all three vaccines that have been approved in the US (literally hundreds of pages of reading), they are safe. They wouldn’t have gotten approved if they weren’t as FDA approval, especially EUA (Emergency Use Authorization), is hard to get. There are a few people who have had side effects from the vaccines, but that’s the same case with most vaccines that we already receive as adults and children. They’ve just been used for years, so we’ve never had concerns or really hear about the side effects from them.
I would say get the vaccine. I would, because everything I’ve seen says it’s safe. Many are waiting to get the vaccine so if you have the luxury of getting vaccinated, take it. Or take the risks of COVID honestly.

There could have been other reasons. I know many who have gotten their second Moderna shot and have been fine.

I won’t be taking it. There hasn’t been a study for pregnant women and other countries are saying no for pregnant women. As for After idk if i will either. Maybe later down the road.

I got my first dose of the moderna shot last week and the only side effect I had was my arm was pretty sore for a few days. Up to you, just telling you my experience with it.

If you are comfortable getting the vaccine, then just get it. If you really look at the statistics, more people have died from this vaccine than many other vaccines and they still aren’t pulling it. Do your research and weigh out the pros and cons for yourself. I can’t for the life of me understand why so many people are so eager to take a vaccine that isn’t even fda approved for a virus with over a 99% survival rate.
