Post partum sex... how bad was it?

And what degree tear or episiotomy did you have?
I’m 8 months pp, third degree tear/episiotomy, and super scared to have sex again but want it soooo bad🙈
I heard it hurts like crazy. Is it possible to tear again in that area they stitched you up? That part is what worries me, even though its been foreverrr since I got the green light from the OB at 6wks.
Maybe I should start with toys first?

At 8 months you should hopefully be feeling good enough to go for it.

I am 7 weeks (almost 8) postpartum, 2nd degree tear and have had sex 4 times. It is pretty uncomfortable everytime. TMI it always takes a good minute to get him in there, and it has to all go really slow or I can't handle it. Hopefully it gets better soon, but I'll keep going at it as I'm sure that will help.

I had a second degree tear, 1 stitch, for each pregnancy. Had sex after being cleared by my midwife and never had any pain.

You should be fine, I always have a little pain the first time after giving birth. But I did it way before 8mo.

It shouldn’t still hurt at 8m, just take it slow. Feel down there yourself so you know if it’s tighter on any one spot. I had an episiotomy with my daughter and my vagina, where the cut was, felt like it didn’t stretch as much so that’s where my discomfort came from. Over time that disappears though. 
You won’t tear there this many months on so take it slow and enjoy yourself

I had two 1st degree tears and one 2nd degree tear. We had sex at 7 weeks pp after I was cleared and it hurt the first 4-5 times. We used a lot of lube and went slow. I’m 9.5 months pp now and its back to normal. But it took a month or two to feel normal again
