Granuloma or just normal belly button?

So my sons umbilical cord fell off earlier than usual so it took longer to heal but at some point I remember checking it and it looked healed. He's 5 months now. Husband noticed an oder coming from his belly. Long behold his belly button was red inside with discharge and it smelled. I cleaned it out with rubbing alcohol. Next day since i was freaked out and at didnt remember seeing the little ball like thing in his belly button I called for a walkin, i know how can i not remember, i have a toddler and my baby doesnt sleep, hes legit awake every 2 hours still, even at night and hes constantly crying about something, so my brain is legit mush.

Doctor did a video call and since it looked pretty red since it was only the next day, she said from what she could see was it was a granuloma, mind you my camera sucks. So they want me to come in to use silver nitrate on it on Thursday. The appointment was made last week. Doctor didnt seem worried

But everyday now i clean it with rubbing alcohol. Discharge and smell stopped on day two, and its day 5 now and its not red now, just a light pink, my son is fairly white so its not startling.

No smell, no discharge, just light pink. Now I take a better look at it and it just reminds me of an outie like my daughters, looking inside it looks apart of his skin, idk if his is pink naturally or not. My husband's theory is I just hadn't cleaned it properly last time whenever he managed to get it wet, he's always spit up alot. His belly button goes deeper past the little lump looking thing so it makes sense of something getting trapped in there. Any thoughts, what does it look like to you, best shots I could get with baby moving.

I dont think I even noticed my daughter belly button having and outie lump either till recently when my husband pointed it out, cuz her lump scar tissue doesnt stick out its legit in the belly button so closed you wouldn't notice a thing just like his pics. Im just afraid im gonna go in there and they legit gonna look at me like im crazy cuz I jumped the gun and its legit just his normal belly button, ill hate if i pay to go all the way down there since i dont have a vehicle, and they legit say he's fine. I've got an appointment already April 6 with him for his checkup and shots. I'm legit so tired I can't believe I didnt notice
