Who is getting the COVID vaccine during their pregnancy?

I’m not planning on it because it is sooo new and they can’t tell the long term effects since it has only been around for a few months. PLUS I miscarried at 13 weeks, just three days after getting a flu shot. Sure, it was likely a huge coincidence BUT due to the miscarriage having no explanation I will always wonder if it had anything to do with the flu shot. So I’m not taking any chances with this new vaccine that hasn’t been around long enough.

I am. The covid vaccine actually isn’t new. It’s been in development since the first SARS outbreak. I also worked on a covid unit and also have kept up with trends on the effects of covid. Pregnant women are definitely higher risk for poor outcomes. Definitely make your own decision but personally for me the risk of getting covid (again) for me is greater than anything detrimental from a vaccine.

Definitely. The benefits outweigh the risks and spread in my state is unrelenting. The risks associated with with COVID for pregnant women and babies is more terrifying to me than a vaccine, especially considering we have no idea what the long term consequences of this disease will be.

I’m all pro vaccine and if available to me after pregnancy I’ll for sure get it. But not during. Not enough studies show the effect it has on the fetas. I read something that said pregnant women have the option of getting the vaccine but it’s are not being “advised” to get it. Not sure how true it is but to many red flags for me.

I got my first dose this week at 15 weeks and I’m so happy with my choice. I spoke in length with my OB, several other MDs (one who is pregnant herself and got it), and read a ton about how mRNA technology works etc. All of this helped me make my choice that the benefits of protecting myself and my unborn baby with the vaccine greatly outweighs any risks.

5 weeks and got my first shot yesterday! 
I spoke with my doctor before and feel super confident! Also CDC changed their stance on it around March 10 when a big pregnancy trial came out. You can find the trial with tons of great info about which shot (if you have the option) is a little better for preggos and tons of information on pubmed.com!

Definitely not. Wasn’t going to get it before getting pregnant...not going to get it now. Nobody knows the long term effects of the virus or the vaccine. I may never get the virus so I’m not going to willingly put the vaccine in my body or my baby’s.

I’ve had Covid and planned on getting the vaccine before we found out that I was pregnant. But now that I am, probably not. My SO and I discussed it and we just aren’t comfortable with it. I’m all for vaccines but I’d rather be safe than sorry when it comes to my body while it’s growing a baby.

I'm high risk so I'm planning on it (I also had covid this time last year and nearly died, and it took me until mid-summer to recover) but I'm going to talk to the high-risk specialist that I see on Tuesday first. if he thinks I should wait I'll do that. 
my partner is signing up next week though (when ohio opens appointments to everyone) even though before I got pregnant he wasn't planning to get vaccinated.

Not getting it. I’ve already been pregnant during covid and it was when it first started and it was much worse and I was fine I’ll just do what I did last year not leave my house unless it’s necessary hand sanitizer in the diaper bag and have extra masks with me at all times.
