My right breast isn’t producing milk?

Question

My Breasts are engorged but my right breast isn’t producing? Is it too swollen? They both got very swollen, hard & painful yesterday. I stopped breast feeding yesterday and switched to pumping because it was a little less painful. I also supplemented with formula so maybe I was pumping a bit less than usual for that day. but I’m currently 4 days postpartum. 
Sorry I keep posting on here 😬 I have no one else to ask :(

Anytime i pump more than once i get massively over engorged. 
And being 4 days pp your milk is going to be the highest itll be because your body needs to regulate how much baby needs. 
Just talk to your dr about it and then consistently pump every 2-3hrs. Dont overpump or your body will just make more and more milk because it thinks it’s not making enough. 
I would definitely try to get in touch with a lactation consultant, your hospital can give you their number, or a WIC office has lactation consultants.

I would think milk is in there. Is it a clogged duct?
Latching baby is the best way to drain them a pump is less effective.

I would think if the right side is swollen there is milk in there. It can be hard to get milk out if you have clogged milk ducts. Its normal for nipples to be sore the first week or so of breastfeeding. It sucks, but should get better. I find that baby is better at unclogging milk ducts than my pump. Make sure to empty out breasts when pumping or nursing, so you don't get clogged milk ducts. They're so painful and can turn into mastitis.
