What's an appropriate age to get baby girls' (or boys if you like) ears pierced?

I know it's a personal decision. Just curious what you all think is an appropriate age.

Personally, I'm going to let my daughter make that choice. Who knows, she may not want earrings/piercings.

Ask her pediatrician it's either 2 or 3 months. Don't wait too long because it will be harder to Pierce my daughter did great at 3 months

2 months after they are born they allow you to pierce their ears.. they have to have their first vaccines..

My first daughter got her ears pierced st 9months, and my second daughter got hers on her first birthday. Our pediatrician said it ok for them to get pierced ears anytime after they get their first tetanus shot- which I believe is around 2 months or so.

I waited until she could ask for them. She asked at 5 yr old, and by her 6th birthday she removed them and refused to put any back in. We tried several different kinds of metals but she consistently said they hurt.

I'll be taking them very early anywhere from 6 months to 3 years old. It's easier to take care of them that way also. 
I had mine done and I'm so glad I did

We are letting my daughter decide when she's older. Mine are sensitive and get infected easily. I can only wear real gold or silver.
