Oh boy..
38+5 and had my appt today. Yesterday I had comtractions that lasted consistently for 4&1/2 hours that were pretty painful.. I have been effaced for about 3 weeks now but always closed up tight.
Today at my appoinment, midwife said I'm dilated to 1, effaced and baby's head is engaged.
She felt around (boy was that uncomfortable) and said she was feeling his head and his amniotic sac and that hopefully we won't have our appointment next week, then followed it up with but first time moms often go over their due date!...
Can someone share their story about going into labor after getting checked at 1cm?
