Rough abdominal ultrasound

I had a nt scan today, and the baby was not cooperating so the dr kept pressing down harder on my abdomen trying to get the baby to roll over, it was very painful and now that it's over my abdomen is still sore, could that hurt the baby? Or is that just how they all do abdominal scans?
