Why does my little girl

Question

Seem to hate me? She’s been with me since day one. Her dad was deployed for 6 month of her first year of life. She’s 18 months now. 
I do everything for her. She’s my world and she prefers her dad over me almost every time. And she gives me these looks sometimes and I’m like what did I ever do to you? I really don’t understand and it breaks my heart. 
I don’t work and with COVID she hasn’t had much interaction outside our home. I’m pregnant with a baby girl. I don’t know if she can sense it and feels some kinda way about it.? 
Sometimes she can be so sweet and cuddly but most of the time she acts like I’m the worst person in the world 😔
Anyone else experience this ?

Yes all my kids went through this stage. My 3rd kid (daughter) was very much a daddy's girl. It's a stage, but also understand that you're "safe" if you're the rock in her life. With your husband, especially if he was deployed, she may subconsciously feel like she has to "work for him" because her relationship with him is actually less solid than yours,  because you're there for her and with her and do for her always, meanwhile he can't,  especially when he's away. The safe parent usually gets the crap. It sucks, but hopefully gives you a different perspective.

I’m Mexican and I grew up hearing that when you’re pregnant with a girl little girls tend to not like you and boys are drawn to you and vice Versa. In my experience there’s been some truth to it. With this pregnancy all the little girls are drawn to me so we’ll see if it’s a boy lol.
