I found out I have PCOS

After 7-8 months of trying to get pregnant I noticed I was having infertility issues. I know for some this might not be long enough to try, but I decided to visit my doctor. I found out I have a 4cm cyst on my right ovary caused by the PCOS on my left. I had never heard of PCOS before! Crazy how so many women have it. Now my doctor is requesting I go on a crazy diet and work out 7 days a week to flush out the cyst and get pregnant. I am triggered weight loss experiences before where I would count calories and just didn’t want to eat. I am not sure this is the best specialist for me if she’s recommending that I don’t eat more than 800 calories a day or at most 1200. Has anyone ever experienced this before I need advice?
