Help!

So I recently had a baby a couple months ago & I love her to death but I am NOT trying to have another child any time soon. I've been on birth control before but when I stopped, before I got pregnant, I would get nausea & throw up every time I got my period & have a ridiculous amount of pain. Turned out my hormones got all wack from the birth control & was even told it would be difficult for me to conceive. I don't know if getting on anything would be smart because of my previous experience. I would like to have more children in a couple of years but I really want to avoid getting pregnant till then & condoms aren't really working out. Has anyone had these hormone problems due to birth control? Or does anyone recommend one with low dose of hormones?
