So i need help understand this i had my first baby in2019 which was a hard birth for me the doctor I had at the time i went in for a Little bump in my vagina that looks like trauma from pushing because I also have stitches he tested it by swab for hsv-1and2 just to me sure i got called back it was negative..so i went on just find I forgot to mention I am married and now we are pregnant with are second child i have i diffent doctor this time i got blood test for the normal pregnancy stuff and other testing i get a call saying i have hsv-2 i was crying but now i’m wondering if I got a false positive because my culture from two years ago never came back positive never had any breakouts and my last child was delivered naturally with no meds for any virus or anything I’m very confused upset frustrated and in disbelief .. so I’m wondering can you get a false positive Or maybe it takes years to show up
