Early labor stopping?

Hi all. I am 38 w 1 d with my 3rd baby and last night I know I was having early labor contractions for about 2-3 hours. I was convinced I’d be in active labor by early morning. But I did what all the articles I read say to do and I laid down and tried to go back to bed and they eventually stopped. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced it? And if so please tell me active labor will be here today!? 🙏

Thats false labor. It doesn't dilate you r or progess you in any eay..you just need to relax.

Yes, happens to me daily for weeks before labor actually starts. I'm 41 weeks and have had prodromal labor for 2-3 weeks, best to ignore them and rest until you absolutely can't any longer!

I had this happen with my second baby like nightly for almost 2 weeks. 🥴. Maybe won’t be the same for you! Good news is once the real deal happened it was quick!
