What do I do for a bad diaper rash

She’s 14 months old and neverrrrr gotten one before maybe a tiny bit red before but always went away by next day. This one is super red and inside of her vagina lips too? Idk what to even do. I have been using baby aquaphor ? What else is safe to put on her vagina too? I also changed her diaper halfway through the night and a few hours later it just looked worse.

Try Desitin extra strength, but don’t put it anywhere near her vagina, just her vulva. If you don’t see an improvement, contact the doctor.

If it's little dots, could be yeast and not diaper rash. For diaper rash, I've had luck with Butt Paste brand. But yeast needs an anti fungal.

Could be a topical yeast infection in which case none of the diaper rash creams will work. You'd need Nystatin or something similar. If the skin is cracked, bleeding or looks like sores it's probably a yeast infection. However, if it is regular diaper rash we always had good luck with Boudreaux butt paste. Worked better than the purple Destin

Boudreau's butt paste really works wonders for my boys. I usually do that and then put baby powder over top of it to keep the diaper from wiping it back off.   But idk ab baby powder on a girl.   Also an epsom salt bath helps  contact your pediatrician on how much to use for her

If it’s tiny circles it’s a yeast infection.

You may need to switch diaper brands. If it’s a really bad rash you’ll want to make an appointment with her doctor. They can get ￼ prescription cream for her.
