Have any of you been told to avoid lifting, running, sex (basically anything strenuous) in the first trimester to avoid miscarriage due to being advanced maternal age?
I am seeing a new doctor during this pregnancy due to an unfortunate insurance change.
Because I’m 39 and have a history of two miscarriages, he made the suggestions in the title. He stated that my age could make me more susceptible to miscarriage.
Everything I have learned or read prior to this visit did not line up with what he told me. I exercised up until the day I went into labor with my second born and I was 36 years old with one prior miscarriage.
Is this something any of you have ever been told?
Not sure I buy into it...but am willing to take it a bit easier if this holds water.
