Is it just me?

My husband says im just a mom and it infuriates me because is insane that after taking care of house, child, work, school,  and him i have to hear so much bullshit. I mean how much more can i give...thinking that is about being parents and a couple at the same time. Anyone else went through this and overcome it or should i just quit🤷‍♀️.

Try “only” being a mom for a week. Only take care of the kid(s) and nothing else. If he doesn’t realize the harm in what he says after that then you have a problem. That’s sexist and degrading

First of all it is not OK for your husband to say that as some sort of insult. It’s not OK to insult your partner or put them down ever. If he does this a lot, I would seriously reconsider the marriage as this would be abusive behavior. Secondly, moms do a lot and for him to say that is like a slap in the face. I would explain this to him and tell him you feel very disrespected when he puts you down ￼and you need him to have a little bit more respect for what you do and stop trying to put you down. If he’s not willing to do that, then that is going to put a lot of strain on your marriage. ￼￼Perhaps at that point, you require couples counseling otherwise, separation.￼ He may also have a little more respect for how much you do if you take a nice little weekend friends trip and leave him with the children (as long as he can be trusted with them).￼

Being a mom is a lot of work. My husband asked me recently if I "just want to be a stay at home mom" I said "um yes." And he wasn't asking to make me feel bad, he was asking because he was thinking about how much income he needs to bring in so we can move into a bigger house. 
I am also a jewelry designer and artist. I typically make $1K or less a month and I keep it for my business expenses. So I don't see myself as just a SAHM. But even if I did, I've been doing it for 11 years. I'm a career SAHM and I work my ass off keeping this house running. My husband recognizes it. I also demand respect for it.
