How were you diagnosed?

So I'm having trouble understanding pcos fully. I was told by my old obgyn that I had pcos after a short talk. She said I fit the description of it: excessive hair growth, irregular periods, frequent weight lose and gain... But after relocating and finding another obgyn I told her my history and she said she wanted to do blood work to see if I had pcos. When the results came back she said there's no way I have it and she has no idea why the last doctor I saw told me I had it based off of symptoms alone. How were you diagnosed? Any suggestions? I'm so lost after thinking I had pcos for about 2 years and now this. I thought I fit the description of it as well but now I'm worried did I convince myself I had it because it made sense? So stressful 😔💖
