Getting joint bank accounts??

I notice my bf is starting to spend money and he is the one who deposits his checks into his bank but I never know how much money we have. I’m always asking do we have money? How much money do we have? And I’m starting to worry he’s spending it on dumb stuff. He just got a check of 1,600 and haven’t paid rent. He told me he was waiting for another check.... but yet is out at the bar right now and says friends are paying for him. I’m thinking of talking to him and just tell him I need to know what you are spending our money on because we haven’t paid out phone bill for months backed up on our car payment. One reason was because edd gave him only 3-4 checks since January so we are low on money but if he’s spending money on being out at the bar then it needs to stop
