Help!? Any tips?

Long story short I was on Nexplanon for years and removed it 12/2020. Since then I haven’t used any type of protection as my boyfriend and I want to conceive. My fertile window was April 1st-7th. My bf and I had sex everyday, except for one day. My period is to start on the 20th of this month and today I felt a cramping like sensation. I’m sort of already bummed out bc that’s normally a sign that my period is approaching. What else can I do to ensure I get pregnant? Ladies that used nexplanon how long did it take you to get pregnant? I went to the doc and had a check up and nothing is wrong with me. My bf has a child already so there shouldn’t be anything wrong with him. I’m older (26) and he’s younger (24). All tips are welcome.
