Chest x-rays while TTC?

I'm asking my obgyn but my appointment isn't anytime soon, currently in my TWW. Please keep in mind that the xray is just part of a pre-employment checkup, not something my Dr asked for/ diagnostic. I already know my autoimmune disease and in remission. Anyone get one done while in their TWW?

Hi, im an xray tech!! They will have you fill out a form to know when your last period was (so they know you're not preggo). Usually if its been longer than 30 days you will have to get an HCG drawn before they'll take the xrays. Ultimately, if you are shielded correctly when the images are taken, there is around 0% radiation exposure to your reproductive organs. To put radiation exposure into perspective, you'll get more from flying from one side of the US to another than you will from a chest xray!! Its your decision to get one or not, but the minimal radiation exposure you'll be getting should not be harmful.
