Possible threatened miscarriage

Hi all I was in hospital last night as my bleeding and cramps have been going on 9 days now they checked my cervix once again and it is still closed they can't do a scan on me until 28th as I went last Friday and was just the sac as they think I'm really early but today I'm 8 weeks I'm so confused the doctor said it sounds like a threatened pregnancy and that I could go on to have a healthy pregnancy. I'm just confused as I seriously know in my heart I've miscarried since last week. Has anyone been through this at all and had any success I'm so broken at the moment I just don't know what to think 😢
