Normal vaginal walls

I put a finger in my vagina when I wasn’t aroused and I’m not sure if it feels normal. It’s obviously the usual tight, warm, and wet, and it’s pretty smooth, but it feels like underneath the tissue there’s a wall there and the lining is just covering it, (kind of how an erect penis is squishy because of the skin but still hard. Now it’s more squishy than a dick but I’m just saying for comparison). Is inside the vagina supposed to be super squishy or is a little firmness normal?
